Creative Sex in an Oversexed World

with Guest Speaker Fr Mark

Friday 25th April 7:45pm at St Nicholas of Myra

(Entry via Higgins Street)

“Male and female he created them. This is how the book of Genesis describes the creation of man and woman as sexual beings. Yet, the distortion of sexuality and its intended creativity in the lives of human beings is scarcely a possibility for the vast majority of our culture.  In this talk, Fr Mark will speak about how men and woman differ in their respective psychological and human outlook and argue that such differences are a profound imprint of the Creator on the human race. In addition to outlining some principles for the ordinary development of romantic friendships between men and women he will then lay some foundations for the development of non-sexual and non-romantic friendships between members of the opposite gender. For the present culture this is an impossibility but for the children of God this is not only false but rather a preparation for the life of heaven.”

The Role of Mary in Our Salvation

Guest Speaker Paul Elarde

Friday 9th May 7:45pm at St Nicholas of Myra

The topic of Mary can sometimes be difficult to understand, but those who discover Mary's motherly love, discover a priceless treasure and a short cut to the heart of Jesus! No one is more united to the Holy Spirit than Mary, so in this talk we will deepen our understanding of the importance of Mary in our salvation and how we can call on her powerful intercession for us.
